Equipping the Saints

  • Ephesians 4 says, "And He gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God."

What is the matter with a real and true repentance for speaking / prophesying wrongly? Stacey did not go far enough with her "apology", which seems to me to be a piece of cleverly worded flannel to save face and position. But beyond the words there is a human spirit under the influence of either the Holy Spirit or some other. We are spiritual people, right? The Holy Spirit guarantees to lead us into all the truth beyond the hype. "Show me the truth and remove the (spiritual) false way from me (whatever it is)" could be (and for sure should be) our prayer about Stacey's spirit and all the others on platforms of's beyond solely our mental analysis going round and round and being persuaded by opposing arguments this way and then that way. It's a serious thing Stacey did to prophesy in the way she did do, and for me at least she will not be listened to anymore because she spoke under the influence of a spirit which manifested lies through her. Same as many involved with Lakeland. Same spirit. Not pure. "The words of the Lord are pure words", are they not?

Dear Partners,

I have had many calls and questions concerning the Lakeland Revival. I personally visited the revival as I needed healing for my foot and to give Todd the benefit that we were not always allotted at the Brownsville Revival. Many criticized us without ever coming. For five years the Pensacola Revival focus was constant on the cross and souls. Theology that lined up with the Word, integrity and accountability were of utmost importance.

Steve Hill and I both had wonderful mentors that prepared and positioned us to be a part of a wonderful move of God. This is why John Kilpatrick Ministries hosts quarterly Pastor / Leadership Mentoring Sessions to be a blessing and speak into the lives of ministers. We need spiritual fathers to birth spiritual sons.

We ask you to be in prayer for Todd; his family; and that the damage to the Body of Christ will be minimal. We pray that the doors of opportunity given to the enemy will be closed and that his strategy will be thwarted.

Dutch Sheets has issued a very creditable statement concerning Lakeland. I would like for all our partners to read this apostolic article.

Oops...should have mentioned that my comment yesterday was in response to others comments, regarding your post about Stacey.

Stacey Campbell is making an apology to the babes in Christ who are not yet mature enough to understand that people fail and that, what God intended and said through His prophet does not change just because of human failure. God declares His purposes, His dreams and plans for his children because he sees us as perfect through the blood of Christ. He has only the best and highest in mind for us and believes the best about us. it's only sinful, selfish, wicked man who looks at the sin in another and cries, "Failure, Sinner, Charlatan!"
There is no "coming forward" by Stacey but rather a mature modelling of Christ-like humility -not false humility- while she re-iterates and brings understanding to a matter.
Please read it again, there's lots of good stuff in there...especially the part where she makes a big hint; "Perhaps the intercession of the Church could call him back into his destiny."
Let's intercede for our fallen brother; a righteous man, though he fall, he will not be cast down, for the LORD upholds him with his hand.
We ourselves are not without sin BUT by His amazing Grace we are not disqualified from being a light in a dark world.

Hi Miranda:

I don't know if you are going to return to this blog, but here is a quick note if you do.

I know how you feel. I had the same problem 20 years ago, when there was another fuss in the body of Christ about some other fallen followers.

There is a third possibility. We love God, but we are struggling with what has happened. Some of are in a panic.

Speaking for myself, my faith in God is unshaken. God's people, on the other hand, that's another issue. For me, this does not prove that we do we do not need God, but it does prove that we need him all the more.

We Christians are supposed to help others come to Christ, and we have been called to represent Him. I am so sorry that we (or some of us) are not doing a good job right now.

Watch us as we struggle with this, and I hope we end up rising above weasel words. You have a right to be frustrated, but I pray that you can hold God blameless. We need to do better, and believe me, that is what God wants of us. In time, I hope we can become amazing to you in a good way, not a bad way.

You people amaze us. When you're exposed as charlatans for all the world to see it never slows you down one bit. You come up with some weasel words pretending to explain away your previous outrageous statements or actions. Are you completely crazy or just pathological liars?
