Words of Wisdom

  • Ephesians 4 says, "And He gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God."

INDIA FULL GOSPEL BIBLE COLLEGE

I have determined that this school in KGF India needs our support for books and reference materials. They have 2000 books in their library but in order to become full accredited they need 7000.

I am appealing to believers who have extra books on their shelves not being used regularly, as well as book stores that can provided some much needed help to donate directly as follows.

This school desperately needs more reference books to attain full accreditation. The library currently holds about 2000 books but they need 7000 to qualify.

They need commentaries, concordances, reference works, theology books, study bibles, atlas' etc.

THANK YOU IN ADVANCE FOR FILLING THESE SHELVES

WITH BOOKS THE STUDENTS CAN LEARN FROM.

LIFECENTRE STUDENT LIBRARY - KGF India

I attended the graduation of the students last year and was introduced to Rev. Dr. Monovah Nickelson and his team in KGF, South India.

My first impressions, as someone who has led a bible school for over 25 years, was a school destined to provide young men in India with a solid bible school education.

How could we help? He mentioned the need for computers and over the next few months, folks at Lifecentre provided the necessary funds to make it happen.

Here we are, one year later, dedicating the new computer lab.

Thank you Lifecentre!!!

INDIA PICS - iPhoto Galleries

I will post updates in the following days but wanted each of you to see the story of what has happened here.

Just tonight, Ted Yuke and I held a youth service with 150 vibrant, passionate and joyful young people. We did a tag team message on the life of Joseph and how God wanted them to become a generation of dreamers.

I closed with Joel 2:28-29 and then we laid hands on each and every young person. It was amazing as they marked Sunday, April 5, 2009 as the day they set themselves apart for God's dream for their lives.

A special thanks to Lifecentre for their investment in the Church of India.

GRADUATION DAY - India Full Gospel Bible College

P1010614 Pastor Ted and I had the honour of being special guests at the recent graduation of the India Full Gospel Bible College in KGF, South India.

Over a thousand guests attended this highly anticipated event. Families and friends of the students witnessed them receiving their graduation degrees and being commissioned to ministry.

It was held on the grounds of the bible college with a time of worship, prayer and honouring of the students and former grads who had come to show their support.

Many were pastors of local churches that had graduated as long back as 1991. They had travelled over 12 hours by bus just to attend the ceremony and be a blessing to the students. Both first and second year students were in attendance as they looked up to those who had 'passed the tests' and were now graduating.

This school desperately needs more reference books to attain full accreditation. The library currently holds about 2000 books but they need 7000 to qualify.

They need commentaries, concordances, reference works, theology books, study bibles, atlas' etc.

If you can help please send books post paid to the following address with this notation.

COMPUTERS FOR INDIA BIBLE COLLEGE

On a recent visit to India, I had the opportunity to attend the 'India Full Gospel Bible College' in the Kolar Gold Fields region. What an exciting time as I spoke with former graduates (there are over 800 to date) and met this years graduating class of 34.

These students are hungry to learn and passionate about Jesus. As I toured the campus, I noticed that their library was wired for computers but they didn't have the money to purchase them. The Lord spoke to my heart that He had people willing to invest in this worthwhile project.

As you read this blog, are you one of those people? We are well on the way to providing all six computers with over $2000 raised and our goal only being $8000.

Let me encourage you to invest in missions and in students who will go on to minister the Word of God in this needy area of the world.

Thank you for giving to the Lord. Thank you for investing in disciples who will invest in disciples throughout Asia. Your giving into this fertile soil will reap multiple harvests for the Lord.

TRAINING CHILDREN UP IN THE WAY THEY SHOULD GO...

Here is a short clip from the life of little Sam, a four-year old boy I met in Bangalore, India recently at a home/orphanage. He was a delight and the object of affection amongst the other children.

India is an amazing nation but it has so many children that have no one to raise them. They end up either on the street fending for their own lives or else in an orphanage. Thank God Sam and his brother and sisters found a great home.

Here he is quoting all 66 books of the Bible.
